Cheese Swap Event
Lubbers Family Farm and Slow Food Potawatomi Chapter will be hosting a Cheese Swap event on Saturday, July 25th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Don't worry - you need not make your own cheese to participate. This is how it works - bring some of your favorite cheese (homemade or other) or something that would make a good accompaniment to cheese - fruit, bread, jam, chutneys, etc. You would need to bring bite-sized portions for others to sample as well as some to exchange. Also bring own beverage to accompany the tastings. We will meet under the apple trees at Lubbers Family Farm for an incredibly unique event with amazing good taste, beautiful surroundings and lovely music. Admission is $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family. We strongly suggest that you reserve a spot in advance for the event. You can e-mail me to reserve.
This is a fund raiser for Slow Food Potawatomi so we are also asking for some volunteers to help with the event. This would include people to check folks in, collect money, let them know where the bathroom is, direct cars to park, and some to help set-up and clean up. Please let me know if you can help out.
We will also have Barb Jenness, owner of Dancing Goat Creamery, giving a talk on cheese.
