Dogwood Farm was a wonderful setting for our June potluck with Barb Jenness hosting. She has a perfect spot at the back of her house with large old trees that provide shade and a wonderful breeze. We had a lot of new faces joining us and a lot of good food to eat. If one arrived early enough they were able to view the milking of the goats. The goats took turns hopping up onto the bright pink colored milking stands to be milked. We got to enjoy many of the cheeses that Barb makes from the goats milk as appetizers. A summer storm rolled in just as we were into our meal and we moved into the house for a cozy retreat and desserts. Thanks to Barb for opening her farm and house to us and to those who joined us for the first time to share a Slow meal. That's part of what Slow Food is all about.
